So, I've decided to give my ex's family their presents. It's what I wanted to do all along, and then people started telling me that would be weird, and I was torn. I think I painted CBD badly when talking about the conversation we had about it. He didn't really try to convince me; he more just let me know he thought it would be ok...that we weren't having that kind of breakup.
In further evidence, I asked him last night if it might be ok to still have my brother meet with his mom and talk about law school/being a judge/etc. He thought that would be ok, and so I e-mailed his mom. His mom is happy to meet with my brother. In the course of the e-mail conversation I said, "I hope it isn't weird, but I'm going to go ahead and send the Hanukkah presents I made. I just made them specifically for you guys, so to me they'll never be right with someone else."
She responded, "Certainly not weird."
So, I'm going to finish them up over the next few days, and CBD's gonna pick them up on Friday.
