Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
He needs to break some part of the wall.
The price just went up.
Still can afford it, but jeez, it's about 50$ from the "ok, don't fix it" limit.
(Trying to relax and read articles)
Edit: some "let the price stay as is~ma" would be super helpful for my general hygiene and happiness.
Ahh... Tom is bottling 2 batches of beer, laundry getting done, made 3 different kind of cookies from the Gourmet Magazine retrospective; the Speculaas cookies from the 70s, mocha cookies from the 90s, and Pistachio Cranberry Icebox cookies from the 2000s. (those are actually still in the icebox- I'll bake them off when Tom's done.)
We went shopping, and we're just about done on that front. Taz is curled up next to me, and I'll make a shepherd's pie with lamb for dinner.
Feeling pretty good on the holiday front, thank goodness. Tom starts the new job tomorrow.
health~ma to all the buffista sickies! Kristin, how's Zoe doing? continued back~ma for Tep.
You just had a nerve root injection, didn't you? That means you had a piece of steel put in your nerve cluster. The idea that your nerves are reacting to it is expected. It's one of the side effects that they don't mention.
True, although I don't know how accurately the nurse placed the shot. Meaning, it might not have been near a nerve root/cluster. Although, based on the reaction I had, I guess she *did* get it fairly near to a nerve cluster.
If it's a reaction to the shot, it should go away. Otherwise, it might be neuropathy. Hubby was diagnosed yesterday with diabetic neuropathy, and he often looks down just to confirm that his leg has not happened to catch on fire.
That's exactly what the burn-y pain was like last night. I would have bet anyone good money that my leg was actually engulfed in flames.
Again, it does sound like neuropathy, but going by Occam's Razor, the burn-y pain happened so closely, time-wise, to the injection that I can't help but think they're related.
Plus, I haven't had any more burn-y pain all day today, so I think it's abated.
I was thinking about making the Pistachio Cranberry Icebox cookies. I've gotten as far as getting the butter out of the refrigerator.
Sorry, ita!
Tep, I am glad you are feeling better (although I know better is relative.)
Shir, aren't you renting an apartment? Isn't the landlord responsible for payment of repairs?
ION, I have to take med tech certification tomorrow. I am actually kind of looking forward to it. Maybe I can ask some questions about Dilaudid from my holy rollin' prayer warrior instructor. Or about hyrdrocodone. I am itching on my face so bad I have a little patch I have itched off. Yeoch. I wish I had some of that liquid Benadryl now; the pill tames it at bit, but not enough, and the combo is making me so stupid/tired I am drooling into my saltines.
Y'know, I really don't want to get a hysterectomy at 36, but I am getting really tired of being ruled by my reproductive system. It's a bit of a Sunset Blvd. drama queen at this point.
Because a cat on a trampoline can't possibly make things worse: [link] Unless, of course, laughing hurts.
Teppy, you have all my sympathy. Your back pain sounds much worse than mine, and I'm curled up in bed hoping it will go away. I can't even imagine how frustrated you must feel.
I'm renting, of course (age+life situation), with roommates, and the receipt goes to the landlord.
But you know, it's us who have to pay the money first. More Wealthy Roommie gave a check.
And also: health~ma to all. Very, very ~ma.
