Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Sorry, ita!

Tep, I am glad you are feeling better (although I know better is relative.)

Shir, aren't you renting an apartment? Isn't the landlord responsible for payment of repairs?

ION, I have to take med tech certification tomorrow. I am actually kind of looking forward to it. Maybe I can ask some questions about Dilaudid from my holy rollin' prayer warrior instructor. Or about hyrdrocodone. I am itching on my face so bad I have a little patch I have itched off. Yeoch. I wish I had some of that liquid Benadryl now; the pill tames it at bit, but not enough, and the combo is making me so stupid/tired I am drooling into my saltines.

Y'know, I really don't want to get a hysterectomy at 36, but I am getting really tired of being ruled by my reproductive system. It's a bit of a Sunset Blvd. drama queen at this point.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Because a cat on a trampoline can't possibly make things worse: [link] Unless, of course, laughing hurts.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, you have all my sympathy. Your back pain sounds much worse than mine, and I'm curled up in bed hoping it will go away. I can't even imagine how frustrated you must feel.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm renting, of course (age+life situation), with roommates, and the receipt goes to the landlord.

But you know, it's us who have to pay the money first. More Wealthy Roommie gave a check.

Ugh, Shir, that's super annoying. Here, if anything goes wrong, I call my landylady and she pays all upfront. I am so glad I scoffed two years ago when all my friends were "You should buy a house! Your money is going nowhere!"

My single gf that did so got her house foreclosed on 3 months ago. Plus? I don't have to buy boilers and gutters and shingles and such. I pay $550 for a nice 1920's 1 bedroom with a sunroom, dining room, hardwood floors and deep, long porcelain tub in the heart of the PLaza, and I don't pay for gas, water, sewage, or trash. My AC is electric, but my heat is steam and I pay nothing on it. I am FINE with not having an investment at this point.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Typo Boy!

Massive amounts of no~more~pain~ma headed out.

I've owned a house for 20something years and am so over it. As soon as there is movement in real estate again I just want to sell and move into a rental place with phone numbers to call when stuff breaks. I have a great house, but ugh the money and time it sucks. I miss the good old renting days.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Erin, that sounds nice, where are you with that cheap of rent?

So I opened up Google Earth to try and get an estimate of how much I walked. I guessed a good 1.5 miles each way. Looks to be about 1.5 miles total. Eh. I was close with my estimate. Either way, it was a nice jaunt. Got the blood flowing. Taking in some nice fresh air.

Shir, glad to hear all is ok with the plumbing.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Teppy,If you can find a few thing that the boy can do for you , when you aren't feeling well it will help him -- which in turn lets you do what need to do For you ( which for me is growl at the world and go inward) -- DH knows where my inhalers are -- if I can't talk he can find them . And if I have a cold - he can bring me all the tea and water - with out asking me if I want them. He also know that eggs, wanton soup, and smoothies are my favorite foods when sick.

Maybe in this case all you need is a clear path to the bathroom -- but let him do that.
