[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Here's hoping for a big fat insurance check, Daniel.

Art Crawl!!!

Daniel! That sucks and I'm so glad you weren't in the car.

My favorite part about the Spork Conspiracy is when Rachel said that if there were too many Spork related posts she would put a stop to it.

She knows her audience.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Glad you're alright, Daniel, and hope the insurance comes through.

Hee. I just checked the weekly synagogue email newsletter. Most weeks, the food after the service (usually cookies or something like that, sometimes bagels or pita and hummus or tuna and whitefish and egg salad platters) is sponsored by someone in honor of something -- like, someone's birthday or someone who just had a new baby or got a new job or whatever. This week, a few people are sponsoring it in honor of the Phillies. And it's going to be soft pretzels and Tastykakes.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Well, it sucks that the car was demolished, but it looks like everything is going as best as can be hoped for

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Daniel}}} I'm glad you were not in the car. Good luck finding another car at a good price.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Job~ma to all that need it.

(((Sean))) Hi, good to see you.

Vortex, that story was heartbreaking.

I swear by all that's ordinary, cars never die on less than 3/4 of a tank of gas. That's why my Caprice, Penny, will go forever - with that leak at the top of the gas tank, I never fill it all the way up.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

ahh the flower of youth

Youth #1: Let's run through the sprinklers.

Youth #2: Oh dude that's what we should do!

Youth #3: Totally!

edit: of course these are the same three youths I had to "get offa my lawn" because of the language they were using in the lobby.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Wow, Daniel. Sorry about the car, really, really glad you weren't in it.

Daisy Jane, I'm so sorry for your job. Job~ma to all who need it.

Sean! I was just thinking about you this morning, and that I didn't see your posts in a while here. I hope you're doing OK.

IIsraelN, the situation in Gaza Strip is really not looking good. The family is worrying for my sister (and by "the family" I mean my parents and me). I don't even want to start calculate how many hours of sleep my mom lost in the last year because of it, because hundreds seems little. I have decided that I'll wait for the situation to deteriorate more before starting to leave my cell phone on "silent" in classes, leave my parents with my class schedule and tell them to call me on these times if something will happen. She supposed to be back home for 48 hours on Wednesday, so I might have a chance to see her, but they can freeze the holidays and afters (she mostly gets what we refer here as "after": not the weekend off, but 48 hours in the middle of the week for refreshment) anytime - they've done it before.

I have lots of Adult Life Stuff to take care for next week (from insurance to uni stuff), and I love it how I don't freak out about it anymore, even when money is involved. It's just a fuss, and one I'm hoping to solve in 3-5 Big Important meetings and phone calls.

OHappyN, I got my 33 1/3 on Gentlemen (I just realized I mostly thought it was Gentleman for very long time, probably because Buffy's Gentlemen were there (in my mind) first and I didn't want to confuse between those two). It is very, very shiny, and I savor it and read it really slowly, very emotionally. Kindda like the french toasts I'm having right now.

libkitty, I'm glad your mom is better, and I hope y'all doing well, Bitches.
