[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I sort of feel like we're forgetting that people ARE head-explodey. Especially people in relationships. We keep seeing snippets of the conversation that outrage or confuse us...but damn, couldn't any of you post snippets from any conversation you've ever had with anyone and...well...I best be getting off to Macy's before I keep rambling.

Logically, this makes perfect sense, but vw is my very good friend, so I'm just going to stick with grr. And of course vw should do whatever she is comfortable doing wrt the gifts.

Humans aint perfect. We all screw up. All of the time. We all act like morons a lot of the time.

Definitely. I admitted in my post that his behavior is behavior I have sometimes exhibited myself (the being kinda hypocritical thing). But it still is what it is, whether it's me doing it or someone else. No reason not to call it (in either case!) But it doesn't mean one can't have compassion for someone being a little whatever-it-is-they're-being, which vw clearly does, even if we're all a little more growly.

Again, am speaking just to clarify my thoughts - nothin' but love for ya'. For reals.

Thrive to spite them

((Vw))) I wish I had some better advice than do what's right. Sorry he's being so perplexing and head explodey.

I am currently roasting in my apartment. It's nice outside, 44F, I should be in a long sleeve shirt, some sleep pants, my slippers, bundled up. Instead I'm roasting, it's around 70 (I think it's hard to tell) and the heat isn't on.

I think it's heat rising from my downstairs neighbors or something. It's always hot when they are home.

Oh joy I just discovered my washer is utterly dead. And it died before the spin cycle so there is water in it. With my flat sheet.

lovely.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, ugh, askye. At least that's one good thing about having a laundry room, there's usually multiple working appliances. Yay?

Which reminds me, someone remind me in 10 minutes when the House rerun is over to go put my laundry in the dryer.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ugh. More wine.

Never a bad idea. Well, okay, occasionally a bad idea. But not here.

And, vw, do what feels *right* to you.

I'm totally going against the grain here, and forgive me.

No matter the advice, never apologize for this, java. We've got a hivemind for a reason and I, for one, appreciate the differing points of view.

I sort of feel like we're forgetting that people ARE head-explodey.

So very much so. I know I am head-explodey. I am.

Oh, and pigs are delicious. Mmm, pork.

Maybe we are all head-explodey, but I really think it is far more important in this thread to support each other than to give the benefit of the doubt to those who make our heads explode.

Especially bacon. Mmmm bacon.

(While I do believe in giving the benefit of the doubt to bacon, my post was in response to Cass. In case anyone wondered.)

Thrive to spite them

update -- washer problem resolved. The circuit was tripped or something. I fixed it..

SLNRLBF helped trouble shoot.

I actually do have some money set aside and I'm trying to decide if I just need to bite the bullet and buy a new washer. I may watch this winter and see if there are any good deals and then get one. It would make my life sooo much easier.

Right now my laundry routine is -- wash a small load (in this case my flat sheet, a towel, and a t shirt..and I think I over did it), let it finish it. Run the spin cycle. Run it again. And then maybe again. hang up all my clothes.

Put things like sheets and towels in the dryer. Run the dryer twice sometimes three times so things get dry.

Bacon can run off and sleep with my best friend and I would still forgive it, if it meant eating bacon.

Which, um, sounds wrong typed out like that.

And I am totally supportive of vw. Just I know *I* fuck up too.
