[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I have three large brown bananas. Does anyone have a favorite banana bread recipe?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Now tagless for your comfort.

Laga I just made some really easy banana bread last week. DH said it was the best I ever made:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

I had a blood test today. I flinched while she was putting the needle in and ended up bending my arm while the needle was in my elbow. It's developing into a pretty interesting bruise.

The glucose drink they give you for a glucose tolerance test? Gross.

“Not dead yet!”

Word. I had to drink a huge amount of that stuff when I had to take the test for gestational diabetes. Nasty, nasty stuff.

Sigh. Just got an email from a student informing me that Gradebook doesn't show any grades for him for the first two assignments and first attendance, and this is "wrong" because he didn't transfer into the class until after that, and "You should change that." He ends with "Please reply ASAP."

I think he's right about the homeworks -- he got an extension on them because he transfered in late, and he finished after I'd transfered the grades from webassign to gradebook -- but the whole tone of this email is annoying me.

Our wings are not tired.

They let me out of the glucose test the 2nd pregnancy. I told them it was gross and I already knew I would flunk and had already changed my diet. They actually listened to me and just subjected me to weekly blood draws to monitor it.

Bobby liked the stuff when he did his test. Weirdo. I hope the bruise heals up quickly, Hil.

Long day, long week. Tired and glad it is now called weekend.

omnis, re: desk saga: see that tagline of yours? Whenever in doubt of doing something "selfish", as in "making your life better", look at it.

Hell, I'll propose my services as a cartoon devil on the shoulder anytime.

Health~ma to all who needs it, and if you could send some to my mom as well, I'd aprriciate it.
