There's nothing like leaving my mom's and getting to my house to make me thankful. I left late because of a hellish afternoon hanging shelves and replacing a door latch, drove in heavy rain all the way here and just got home. My house appears to have been ransacked, but it looked that way when I left. I like to thoughtfully pre-ransack my house for any burglars.

Thanks everyone. Brody's gone in for surgery now. They've found bleeding on the surface of his brain. We won't hear more for some hours now. My sister and her husband are holding up so far, but it's hard. My dad's a bit wrecked.
