Have fun, sj! I will be avoiding any store today. I'm making soup and taking care of my sicky boyfriend.

The only shopping I plan to do is to hit up the comic shop for about two months worth of pulls, including the latest Buffy (it's really the only thing that could get me out today.) However, since I'll be out and about I might just stop some other places. We'll see how bad the crowds are, I don't do crowds well.

I have only a few leftovers. ::sniffle:: That's what happens when you go elsewhere and take your food with you. Worst of all, I have no pie! Wronger than a wrong thing.

I think I posted pictures in facebook, but our entire shopping and menu planning revolved around ensuring sufficient leftovers for the rest of the weekend. Including a pumpkin pie that was procured specifically for today's breakfast. (How fast can you get here?)

Best part about waking up at 4am the day after Thanksgiving (when you have NO plans to go shopping...actually, you plan to stay as far away from any shopping center as possible)?

I'll admit to feeling briefly tempted when I saw that Walmart has (had) a Wii for $249, but that went away fast when they started interviewing people huddled outside the outlet mall who got there at 2:30 yesterday afternoon. That's a kind of crazy I just don't get.

My mother said that the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall in Ft. Lauderdale opened at midnight.

There's an outlet here in MA that does that as well. It is insane, but...

I mean, at least that's Florida and you're not freezing your patookie off. It really struck me as highly insane when we lived in Ohio and people would start lining up the night before for the early openings and it would be like, 30 degrees.

It can't be said enough how lucky we are to have this community around to share in our sorrows and joys, to support us through bad times and cheer us on in our triumphs.

My dog drama of the past few months is only the most recent example for me, and I can't express how helpful everyone's been, especially in those early days when I was really freaking out and flashing back to earlier traumas. So a massive, heartfelt thank you to all.
