I have two days of work this week, and then we're off to LA to see my sister. Our crazy arrangement involves flying in/out of Richmond, so we can drop the dog off with my parents, and that means we have at least one layover at IAD that is longer than it would take to drive to Richmond from Washington. But, we did it all on miles, so it's not as offensive as if we had to pay for the tickets.

Maybe it's the answer to the question s/he was thinking.

he he ... Barb's post about Pattison playing Salvador Dali, and the probably reaction of Fans, reminds me of a story I heard. Seemingly in the 1920s there was a film about the trial of Oscar Wilde. It was being shown in Russia (then a new socialist state) and people were flocking to it under the impression that Wilde had been sent to jail for being a socialist. um, no (for those who aren't connecting, he was tried and sent to jail for homosexuality).

I've gotten through to the Sleep specialist's office. They want me to talk to the respiratory therapist. I'm ok with that, since it's not *my* respiratory therapist, who gives me the creeps. Haven't gotten through to my PCP's office yet.

It took me a minute to get to that because I really DO like this woman so much and just could not conceive of such a manipulation. Sadly, the strategy will work and she'll get what she wants without taking responsibility for it. Just makes me sad.
