[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

OK, my heart can quit acting weird any time now. This afternoon, I got home around 3, lay down for a nap (I had to get up way too early this morning), and woke up around 5:30 with my heart pounding. My mom just sent me one of those electric blood pressure cuffs, so I figured I'd give it a try and see what was happening. Blood pressure was 142/103, heart rate was 98. Right after I woke up from a two and a half hour nap. So I've mostly been just hanging around the rest of the night, I felt like my heart had calmed down, so I tried it again. Heart rate was down to 68, but the blood pressure was still 135/94. No clue why. Usually, blood pressure is pretty much the only cardiac thing that's actually good on me -- I'm fairly consistently pretty close to 110/70.

Yeah, I'm OK. Just not sure why my heart has been acting weird. (I do have mitral valve prolapse, which can cause heart racing, but it's been mostly asymptomatic -- I've had more episodes in the past three weeks than I have in the past three years. Time to go to the doctor again, I guess.)

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I would like Jeffery Dean Morgan for Christmas.

Get. In. Line.

I think Perkins and Juliana called dibs.

Ah well. I'll settle for Jensen Ackles if I must. Maybe with a side order of Christian Kane to sweeten the deal. Y'know. If I must.

Went to see spoken word tonight, and it was actually pretty good! Shocking.

Sadly, the friend I was there to see was....not really one of the better people. Ah well. But there were several cuties, and some awesomeness and a few funnies, and one or two who would've been improved by being on paper instead of spoken.

And Kate Bornstein, who was awesome but read some really heavy depressing stuff, unfortunately, to end the show. Hrmph.

And then I got to see my girl out on a date with someone else, which was vaguely weird, and decided to cut and run on going out with friend-who-read for drinks, in favor of letting girl and her date go out with them, instead. Decided that would be too much weirdness, and I'd be the one who bailed, instead. Hrmph. Hated to bail on friend-who-read, but sent explanatory text, and went for drink wtih friend I was with instead.

And am come home to sulk, and think about how cute the shirt my girl was wearing was. It was a NEW shirt. She saw me look at it, and claimed it was because she didn't want to do laundry. I think she didn't want me thinking she bought a new shirt just for her date. Hrmph.

But, um, YAY Drew getting office space!! And so close to home! :)

Boo Hil's body being weird!

Vibrators for yoga toes just sounds weird, y'all.

Pet peeve: why, if someone you've known forever, makes a suggestion that you disagree with, would you want to persist in the habit of ignoring what they said and repeating your own idea as if they'd agreed to go along with it instead of suggesting an alternate. Whywhywhy. y
