Now I just need to weather the new economy and I'll be fine. So far it's been okay.
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Why does everyone on freecycle type like 13 year olds? A depressing lack of punctuation, grammar and capitalization.
They already gave those away.
Joe Biden's sister, who is one of his closest advisors and lived with him and his boys for years after their mom died, is a graduate of my school. She spoke at my graduation!
I got to meet her the weekend before the election. She came to town and came to the local HQ. She's a tiny woman and very nice.
Yay, Drew!
I'm boggling at the mini-vibrators for yoga toes. They'd be useless on me-- I'd be giggling like a mad thing. I can't even get a pedicure without laughing my way through it and not necessarily in a good way.
Seriously, what kind of pushovers have they been dealing with that they think these kinds of excuses will fly?
They all teach at my school. Some of the stuff the teachers will accept makes me ill.
Can I join the "my students have been struck with the stoopid stick" club? I'm seriously starting to believe in de-evolution.
Drew, congrats. I'm so proud of all you have accomplished. I have to add, though, you lost your halo AGES ago.
Hugs, hair pats and snorgles to all.
Halos are overrated.
I graded my students' quizzes and put their grades up on blackboard. One of my students then emailed me to say that there must have been a mistake, because blackboard showed her with a grade of 51, and the quiz was only out of 50 points. (Extra credit -- one of the questions was much harder than it seemed, and most people answered it in the same wrong way, and so people who actually got it right got a few extra points.)
Hil, a nice contrast with the weasels.
OK, my heart can quit acting weird any time now. This afternoon, I got home around 3, lay down for a nap (I had to get up way too early this morning), and woke up around 5:30 with my heart pounding. My mom just sent me one of those electric blood pressure cuffs, so I figured I'd give it a try and see what was happening. Blood pressure was 142/103, heart rate was 98. Right after I woke up from a two and a half hour nap. So I've mostly been just hanging around the rest of the night, I felt like my heart had calmed down, so I tried it again. Heart rate was down to 68, but the blood pressure was still 135/94. No clue why. Usually, blood pressure is pretty much the only cardiac thing that's actually good on me -- I'm fairly consistently pretty close to 110/70.
