Question - what do you mean when you talk about pricey airports? Food and services prices, or something else?

Edited: also, thank you, Laga, but I don't think I'll go to Florida. I have family there, but we last been in touch with them in 1986. I don't even know if I should try and send a letter reminding them of my existence and asking them if they'd like me to visit them (due to potential family drama).

Kansas City ain't bad; it's a 45 minute flight from Chicago and can easily be a layover for a day from Chi to the East Coast!

Plus, we have BBQ, Christopher Elbow ice cream, dcp, Gudanov, and possibly aurelia and Anne. Quester, maybe?

Dully noted, Strix. I think I'm gonna go East Coast > Middle and South > West Coast > North, but it's a very early planning.

aurelia, I have one, but not officially. She didn't answer yet, but I'm counting on her. Chicago, maybe LA, and Seattle are also places for F2F with ,my Other Board (SFR on the spreadsheet).

And forgot to answer this, but Pix, schedule permitting, I'll totally take you up on LA to SF offer (and pay for the car rent and gas, obviously. Also, eh, might be a good time to mention that I don't drive. In flights and public transportation I trust).

I got that vague feeling that I'm gonna learn a lot about U.S. geography in the next few months.

whoo Hoo!! Shir Visit!!! I've entered data into the spreadsheet! Work schedule permitting, while in LA, I'm happy to be your chauffeur. To help you with size/distances. The state of California is about 20 times the size of Israel. However, Los Angeles/Orange County is almost the same size as Israel. I think.
