-t, if you want to cough up a parking fee instead of fighting for street parking, the UCSF public garages are 2 1/2 blocks from their place - I've never used it on the weekend and it looks like the main garage at 2nd Ave. and Irving, 2 blocks from the shindig, may possibly not be open on weekend nights (but it's worth a check, because the wording on the website is... not exactly helpful).
There's another UCSF parking lot at 5th Ave. and Kirkham (also just about exactly 2 1/2 blocks from the shindig place) that's definitely open weekend nights. Rates are $2.50/hour.
Thanks, JZ, I may do that.
Lee, while I am sorry you will miss out on the bidet and heated toilet seat, my butt mocks your butt's loss. It's kind of an ass.
I want to say something about my butt telling your butt to kiss itself, but I think we may be getting into a weird area here.
Okay, I posted the address on Facebook, but I'll post it here, too: 1325 4th St., at the corner of 4th and Irving (the N Judah train [is it a train?] stops right at 4th and Irving, for the record). Our apartment is the garden apartment; the door is marked 1325 A -- it's right next to the garage door.
Any time after 7:00. The bidet will be waiting.
I'm bringing some gluten fee Oreos!
And some lentil chips and dips.
And a wine I only got because I liked the label.
You'll be unsurprised to find out it had an airship on the label.
I keep wanting to post that I'll be right over and then I remember I'm not just across the bay. Boo. Have a great time and Happy Honeymoon!!
Vegas going folks: I am thinking I want to have dinner on Saturday at L'atelier Joel Robuchon. Has anyone eaten there? Worth it? I will probably be on my own and hopefully can eat at the bar.
Also there's a couch in my suite at MGM Signature Sat - Weds. Just putting that out there.
