Uber is good but it is usually 1 1/2 times the price of a cab.
Unless you take Uber Cab, and then it's usually only a buck or so more than a regular cab, and you don't have to worry about pulling your wallet out - which is often nice, especially at night/in less populated areas.
SF Muni is easily the worst designed public transit system I've ever encountered. Coverage is good, but it's a PITA to navigate.

It's why I stick to BART and its well-defined routes. Hell if I know what fucking bus line to take ever. I think the N-Judah takes me to the Zmayhem's, but that's about it.
I always use 511.org's app to figure out how to get from one place or another. It worked great when K and I were out there over the summer and touristing our way around.
What a slander on SF transit! Boo!
Teppy and Tim are going to be staying in my neighborhood so that means they can walk to the Haight and GG Park. They can take the N-Judah outbound all the way to the beach if they like, or take it downtown to the Ferry Building.
They can also take Muni downtown and switch to BART and head out to the Mission at either 16th or 24th and cover that stretch of Valencia.
That would probably cover most of the fun spots, excepting North Beach or Clement Street. And between me, cabs and Uber I'm sure they can work those into the rotation if they want.

Isn't BART going on strike? I can't remember which transit dealie is striking.
Yeah, BART may strike on Friday, in which case I'm going to have issues getting to APE. Ugh.
No strike as yet. Looks like they might be inching towards a deal.
