We stayed at the Excaliber last month, it is kitty corner from the MGM. I was happy with our room and the customer service.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I really like the Flamingo - old-skool. I also like the Golden Nugget, but that is on Fremont and not so close.
Other things to see in New Orleans proper include the French Market, Preservation Hall, the St. Louis Cathedral, and the Voodoo Museum.

WOO PARTY DOWN!
FUCK YEAH! I am physically restraining myself from jumping up and running around the office screaming with full-on flappy Kermit arms.
Speaking of which, NO FROG LEGS, LEE. Don't make Kermit cry.

And...YAY!!! We heard back from the owners and we officially have the apartment for our trip to SF!!! We'll make more plans when it gets closer. Which, I guess, is actually a month from tomorrow. WOO PARTY DOWN!!!
Right the fuck on! Fire up the bidet!
BIDET PARTY!
I want pictures of this bidet with flower petals floating in the bowl and pretty lights strung around it now.
Hey, before I look into booking a solo hotel room, would any of the New Orleans visitors be interested in taking on a roommate for Friday night? (I'd originally planned to drive back and stay in Jacksonville after dinner, but given the hour it's probably smarter to stay in NOLA and leave early in the morning instead.)
Where in the French Quarter should I go to lunch?
Killer Poboys in the Erin Rose, Sobou, Kingfish, St. Lawrence, Dis Tacos in Molly's in the Market, Galatoire's, Bayona.
Dis Tacos in Molly's in the Market
I think that was supposed to be “fish tacos”. I don’t want to go to Molly’s and dis the tacos; that would be bad form.
