Are you on vacation RIGHT NOW, Lee?

Other things to see in New Orleans proper include the French Market, Preservation Hall, the St. Louis Cathedral, and the Voodoo Museum.

Oh, and you can take one of the haunted walking tours to hear about the Lalaurie House and revel in the fact that Nicholas Cage lost it to bank forclosure four years ago during his ongoing money troubles.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay vacation, Lee!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was the amazing and gratifying thing, Dana, the guys who were all "Deuce McAllister! All right!" which I really didn't expect in California, you know?

Um, I have nothing on topic to add. Yay for vacations that include buffistas!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Honeymoon update: it's highly likely we're renting an apartment (with full kitchen, patio, HOT TUB) for our stay in SF. We're contacting the owners right now. If we do, PARTY AT OUR PLACE WOO!!!

I'm not joking. We'll hit up TJs and/or get carryout, and shindig it up.

What say you, SF-istas?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, that is LOVELY! How much fun!

Fingers crossed we can rent it. As of today, the VRBO website says it's available. And the rate is unbelievable. We wouldn't be able to get a non-horrifying hotel in SF proper for that rate, or we'd have to stay down by the airport. We checked VRBO on a whim (that's where we found our cottage for Mendocino), and didn't think we'd find anything decent. Not so!

WOO PARTY DOWN!

Oh, it also has a bidet. IJS. How can you pass that up?

A bidet AND a hot tub?! It is clearly made for love...
