Heyyyy--just got a call from the Monaco's business manager--she was all "where are you on your decision? what can I do to push it?" I suggested that the catering minimum for the bigger room on saturday night ($3K) was scary for us, and she said she'd look into lowering it, and what would be more comfortable for us. I hesitated, and she brought up the number for the other room ($1500) on her own! She's going to get back to me.

And she just emailed and indeed--they've dropped the setup fee for the room to $150 (it was 200) and the minimum to $1500. So it's the same as the smaller room.
...I think that makes the Monaco my favorite...

I have to agree. Excellent hospitality room, good ballroom, nice rooms.
Meara, I know you were going to do a spreadsheet; how's that going? Or does this little bit of news leave us with a clear leader?
And they're going to still comp the Hospitality room if we can guarantee the 40 room nights? Adding that and the comp wifi I think it's a pretty solid offer.
Also, while I remember, they mentioned they have significant bandwidth because they host a lot of Microsoft events.
