The hotel deal I got includes parking, and the weekly rate was basically the same as paying for 5 days of car rental, so I am going to have my car in NOLA as well. It will probably be parked the whole time I am there, but this way I can just throw beer in the trunk until you can collect it.
Museum? Zoo? Rothko Chapel?
Oh right hey Dana I am also planning things for Houston since I will be there next weekend hi do you want to meet.
When next weekend? I will be in Dallas until some time Saturday.
I'm coming down on Friday, but I will be in Houston until I go down to San Antonio on Wednesday (August 28).
The Zoo sounds good if it's not too hot. Which museum would you recommend if it is hot?
If you like modern art in particular, the Menil is cool (and free).
In the Museum District, you have easy access to the Museum of Natural Science (http://www.hmns.org/), the Museum of Fine Art (http://www.mfah.org/), and a bunch of smaller ones.
