I'm going to be in SF for a wedding at the end of September, and may have some time on Saturday (Sept 21) to come into the city and socialize.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Yay! If am in town, I'd love to see you, Jess.
Breakfast at Zazie's? I can recommend it!
That's where I took them!
Then we walked out to GG Park and since it was First Tuesday, we got into the De Young for free.
So this Zazie's place really exists? With the gingerbread pancakes? It hasn't just been a decade-long tease? t scribbles notes furiously
Having had those gingerbread pancakes, you can bet your bippy they exist. And you have met me...so you know I wouldn't lie to you, right?
The road trip is looking in doubt at the moment. I think I'm still taking that week off and maybe I'll fly somewhere just to get away.
So this Zazie's place really exists? With the gingerbread pancakes? It hasn't just been a decade-long tease?
I will take you there. This I promise.
Tom, are you guys still interested in dinner tomorrow night? Where are you guys staying? The BART strike makes it difficult to get into the city, but I could do it if it were in an area where parking isn't a nightmare (then again, it's possible parking is currently more a nightmare everywhere).
We're at the Red Victorian, at 1665 Haight St. We will be back here between 6:00 and 6:30. Would you be able to make it to the Haight around then or later? We're thinking of eating at the Citrus Club, at 1790 Haight St. I'm not sure how parking here compares to other neighborhoods.
We're going to be in Mountain View during the day but I'll be checking in here periodically.
We'd love to see you!
BART strike complicates everything. I might could take the ferry in?
I hope you can--we wanna see you too!
Eta: if you make it to the Ferry Bldg, you could just hope on the N Judah line, which would take you to within a few blocks of us.
I haven't parked in the Haight that often, but the Citrus Club at 6:30ish sounds doable!
Zazie's is a real thing. They serve lattes, mochas, etc., in bowls - on chilly mornings you can warm yourself inside and out. The omelettes are good and their own coffee cake is good, too.
P-C,
Hopefully we'll see you tonight! Also, insent.
