Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I haven't driven the coast myself for yonks. I-5 is quicker but no scenary.

Suzi, I've done it a few times in the last couple of years. The drive is definitely worth it.

I've also done 4 of the 5 Hearst Castle tours. My favorite is the longer evening one where they dress up as guests, but that's not always available.

In any case, definitely plan any of those because the times can be tough on a tight schedule.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This was my drive up the coast a couple of years ago.

So glad to hear Hearst Castle is open again. Was closed for a time. Amazing tour.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Tom, those are gorgeous.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

SFistas! I will be in your fair city for a WordPress conference thingy from July 25 to 29 and I would LOOOOOOVE to see people for happy times.

I'm getting in on Thursday at 11ish a.m. and would love to bum around during the day and evening. Friday-Monday I'm busy during the days and probably booked for some conference-related shenanigans on some evenings, but I'm unlikely to do that every evening. (Because while they are my people software-wise, y'all are my PEOPLE people.) Monday I head out on the godforsaken redeye, but there should be some evening time open there as well.

Aside from the sad fact of not having more days just to play around, I'm open to all kinds of suggestions for entertainments. I'm also open to leads on either cheap (okay, SF-cheap) hotels or couchsurfing. Mostly, though, I want to see you!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Whee! Amych! I should be free during the day to gallivant around with you and bring you over to Chez Zmayhem and all that.

The status is NOT quo.

I think rather than an official F2F this year, it's turning into a year of mini-F2Fs. That's not such a bad thing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, would SF folks be able to go out to dinner with Monica and I on Wednesday evening, July 3rd?

We could probably hand out during the day on Monday or Tuesday with David and whoever else.

We might go to Make-Out Room for free music Monday night. Wednesday during the day we're going to the Googleplex. On the forth of July we have tickets to watch fireworks from the liberty ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien. July 5th we're hanging out with my aunt.
