Tom, if you want to host a Brooklyn F2F, my advice is to just put together 1-2 potential hotel/prom options by calling local places and explaining you're looking for a venue for a small reunion (I started by saying 20-25 people). I'd suggest you pick one or two weekends that would work for you and then pitch all the details here once you have them. I think it's very difficult to vote on every detail.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I would do a Brooklyn F2F, despite what I just said.
Gary and I will be at Worldcon, but only from Fri night to Monday. (Big family trip that gets back the Tuesday before Worldcon means we have to cut things short)
I'll be at Worldcon. Sheryl, I promise to not get a migraine or buttonholed.
Oh, yay, it'll be fun to see everyone! I'll be there hoping Mark and/or Seanan win everything. Plus, my friend, Julia, is up for Semiprozine.
Tom, if you want a co-planner for Brooklyn, let me know. Its easy for me to come down to help plan pr whatever.
I'm hoping to be able to attend the Worldcon, but it's dependent on things like a) getting a job and b) Mom's estate getting distributed, so I can pay off my credit card before I put airfare and hotel on it.
I figure I could swing Brooklyn between Bolt Bus and sharing a hotel room even without the job and Mom money.
I would like to register my interest in a Brooklyn F2F! I bet I could get there with airline miles if I can manage the time.
Am I mistaken? Wasn't Chicago F2F in 2003? And wouldn't this make Brooklyn 2013 the Tenth Annual Buffista F2F? Be a shame to miss it.
It feels sort of like The Longest Continuous House Party on the Alababma Tiger's boat: "As long as somebody's dancin' the party's still goin'."
Brooklyn 2013 the Tenth Annual Buffista F2F
Aaaaaaaa, I'm so overcommitted right now I can't possibly take on F2F planning, but I would LOVE for our 10th anniversary to be something special.
