I would be very tempted by Brooklyn, I must admit. Sigh.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I can drive to anywhere on the East Coast. Wherever we end up having it, I'm in this year!
Brooklyn would be cool. I feel like I know a lot about the city just from Tom's wonderful pictures and I'd love to see more of it in person.
From my own experience, I'd say that the sooner we make the decision and book the hotel, the better. I don't know if ND and I will make it this year--his young cousin from Northern Ireland will be staying with us and interning for his company all summer--but I know how much time it takes to put everything together in time for people to be able to afford flights and such.
I just put a note in Press that we've started discussing it.
I think sarameg and Lisah should make it in Baltimore. Also, because I want to go to Baltimore.
That would be fun! hmm
When were people thinking?
It's been decades since I've been to B'more, not counting driving past it on the way to somewhere else. I'd go for that.
We usually do June or July, so our teachers can come, right?
I'd like to make the pitch for Bethlehem PA. It's conveniently located near the Lehigh Valley International airport and home of the beautiful Hotel Bethlehem. For history buffs there are scores of Moravian community sites dating back to the mid 1700s. If you're into nature you'd be near several gorgeous state parks and not far from the Appalaichain trail. It's a college town so plenty of nightlife and if art is your scene the Bethlehem steel mill has been converted into a unique arts centre. Bethlehem PA: something for everyone!
I would be strongly in favor of a mid-Atlantic F2F on the extremely selfish basis that I would be able to drive there.
