Yay, I am really happy about the "downtown" aspect. These places sound great. I always associate Crowne Plazas with the boring conferences I have to attend all of the time, and I associate Kimptons with hip and cool and fun.
Associations aren't everything, though!

Either one sounds good. I like the Crowne Plaza since I get points there, but if we do the Monaco Kristin and I would probably opt for one of the higher end rooms so at least one side of the hospitality suite would have our own people there.

I already have my ticket, but will only be in the city starting on Saturday morning as I'm staying with my college roommate out in Woodinville for two nights before that.
