Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Trust my rage

Realistically, I can't go. It requires babysitting for Ellie and Frisco and taking Sammy with me. But it's fun to think about and see. I will go to Sayulita one of these days. meara, I know I told you this, but I'm extra interested in the area because that is where Sammy's father's side of the family is from originally.

eta: Spring break is 23-30 March, but that is probably too late

Heh. Well, if their dad moves to Hawaii, tell him he has to come get them for Spring Break. :)

And yeah, you had said that, which also makes me go "ooh!" since the whole tourists vs locals thing kinda intrigues me.

The status is NOT quo.

Meara, if it's the last week of March or first week of April, ND and I might be game...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I am definitely interested this year.

Timing would make a difference for me, too. Our spring break is March 23-30, but it's right before a huge reception we throw for our scholarship/grant recipients and I don't know how involved with that I'm going to be yet. New jobs can kind of suck that way, until you've been through each event cycle once.

I think he will be taking them to Hawaii that week, so maybe.

And yeah, Sammy's grandmother lives in that area along with his greatgrandma and some cousins and so on. So, if I do get to go, I would probably make a trip to see the ancestral home.

Hey Ellen, FYI, I'm looking into renting a cottage in Lake Koshkonong for a week or so this summer. Just me and the dog and anyone who wants to drop by. I'll keep you posted when I get confirmation on dates.
