Probably easiest would be a taxi, especially with your arm. No trains in our neck of the woods, and buses would be...complicated.
But! So far, I don't have any meetings scheduled that day, and I live, literally, a three-minute drive from my office (BEST. COMMUTE. EVER!) and I'm less than a half-hour away from RDU. So I could probably get away to take you in the middle of the day. Especially considering that between August 17-19, I'll be putting in over 20 hours of overtime (and on my birthday, no less!) for student move-in.
Just let me know, and I'll block my calendar!
Oh, that would be wonderful -- I just didn't want to put you out!
We're heading to see the fam here in a few, but I'll send deets tonight before I book, make sure they work with your schedule. Sound good?
Awww, amyth's the bestest.
She is! I'm jazzed! WHEE!
After not driving for so long, I'm reveling in getting to drive ALL THE PLACES. And give back just a fraction of that car karma. I'll never be able to repay it all.
Sounds good, Strix!
I'm going to send out a make-a-plan email in a little bit too.
Iām not going to need to pack an umbrella, am I?
You'll only need an umbrella if you don't pack one.
I can loan you one if you do need it.
RALEIGH-DURHAM I WILL BE IN YOU TOMORROW NIGHT.
Do I need an umbrella? (I need to look at the weather; it JUST got cooler here...)
Strix, it looks pretty dry this week: 20% chance or so of a t-storm. We tend to get storms that come up quickly and go away just as quickly, as opposed to long steady rain, when conditions are like this.
Oh, as a heads-up, Raleigh-Durham only refers to the airport -- there's no such actual place, and people sometimes get a little goofy about the fact that you're in Durham, or Raleigh, or Carrboro, or whatever. Think Dallas-Fort Worth, where they share an airport but they're 45 minutes apart and wildly different culturally.
