Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

WOO! Liese and dcp and I had some damned good BBQ and chit-chatted, and they got to meet the kiddo! It was so awesome to see them; I wish we'd had more time!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

It was great to meet you all. I'm sorry there wasn't time to take Liese sight-seeing.

I'm still a little embarrassed. The reason I couldn't take more pictures was that when I put a freshly charged battery in this morning I failed to notice that the memory card was missing -- it was still in the drive in my laptop from when I copied the Pasadena trip pictures over to it. Oooops.

The picture I did get is here: [link]

(I still have yet to post the Pasadena pictures. I'll try to get to that this weekend.)

The status is NOT quo.

New England folks: my local family/friend calendar filled up a lot more than I expected, so I don't think I will be able to get away this weekend. I know a lot of you were pretty busy too, though, so maybe it's for the best. Sad, though!

Pix, I'm sad to be missing you this trip, but I hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends.

Thanks sj. It's been forever since I've seen you. I ended up having a friend from NYC come up tonight and have family plans the next three days. I am enjoying myself though, which is nice. It's always hard to be here on one level, so it's good that this visit hasn't been as fraught as some of the others.

I think it was the Seattle F2F, so definitely way too long. I'm glad it has been a nice visit for you.

So -- looks like I will be staying with amyth in Raleigh (THANK YOU DARLING!) and hey—it's her birthday week!

I'll try to come in the early evening of Tues. 8/14 Thr 15th, Wed., I can hang or...read...sightsee?...or do whatever (Amy, I will bring my computer and I can work while you're at work, unless other Buffistas kidnap me!)

I'm low-maintenance.

Then I will leave Thursday the 16th, hopefully in the early evening, so no one will have to get off work early to haul my ass outta NC! I have to be there at the aeroporto early because of my bionic arm.

I would love to see Hayden and Darth, if possible. SPONTANEOUS MINI F2F! HOW DID THIS MAGIC HAPPEN?

I am so jazzed, yo. I know nothing about Raleigh or NC. There are mountains? Are there lakes or beaches—should I bring a swimsuit?

Let me know any questions, needs, contracts, bribe, etc., here or email. I am so excited! And thanks for hostessing amyth, and to all my NC peeps!

Can't wait.

Yay! I can't wait either! I'll send out an email later today to try and gather up the NC-istas. WOO!

Strix, the buses in Chapel Hill/Carrboro are free, and I'm within walking distance of the downtowns of both (if you don't mind surface-of-the-sun temperatures), but maybe we can arrange a get-together in Durham for either Tuesday evening or Wednesday evening.

amych, what say you?

Calli will be back from MI by then, too!
