F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
So, who's bringing the candy necklaces this year?
Oooo! Good question. I have the Snog shirt.
I ended up reformatting much of the F2F site to make it more mobile-friendly. The pictures and text should read correctly on phones as well as laptops now. I also added several restaurants and amazing gastropubs to the list. TWO WEEKS!
Hurray!
Oh, also, I forgot to mention that there’s a big ol’ ice skating rink adjacent to the hotel with rentals available if anyone wants to go skating. I added info about that and some other possible outings and moved all food-related recs to the Food page.
Oh, good! My friend and I were looking for a good lunch place for Friday afternoon. El Portal looks like a good option, with Vanessa's for dessert.
Great option! Delicious food and beautiful ambiance.
Damn, the Ensalada Maya looks really good! And so do a lot of other things. Any recommendations?
Downtown Cincy hotels are outrageously expensive this weekend. I got a good rate near the airport, so it looks like I'm driving in to the city.
Saturday, I won't get in until almost midnight. Sunday is wide open. I have no itinerary planned. Who would like to meet up? I'm completely fine doing kid-friendly activities, flea. Meals are also good. And I need to try Graeter's.
I have to leave Monday late morning to make it back to Louisville in time for the conference.
Cell phone (will go poof in a bit): 202-256-1380.
Maria, the airport is about a 20-minute drive from downtown, so it's not terribly far.
Sunday is wide open for me, AFAIK. My cell is 513-919-9407.
Just booked my Oak-Bur flight and car. I get in on Wed afternoon (and have plans with family and non-Buffista friends until Thursday evening). Depart out of Bur mid-day Saturday. Wish I didn't have to cut the trip short, but really want to be back for an event Saturday night in the bay area. Can't wait to see everyone. I asked Pix if I could bring my favorite uncle and his girlfriend to the bar-b-que. They moved to LA a year and a half ago and they're SUCH Buffistas and just don't know it yet. Janice is even a librarian! So anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone, especially at the bar-b-que.
