I'd definitely like to join any outing headed for the Griffith Observatory. I've somehow missed going there every time I've been to California.
I dunno, I vote one thing we do during the F2F is go see the Channing Tatum stripper movie. :)
I'm onboard for this too, presuming it doesn't conflict with the above. Seeing it with fellow buffistas would definitely enhance that particular viewing experience!
now I have to figure out what I'm going to WEAR!
I have my prom outfit basically figured out, but now I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to get my shoes exchanged via mail for a larger size in time for my departure. (I've worn 9 1/2s comfortably for every pair of shoes—dress and casual—that I've bought since I was a high school junior, so I call B.S. on the "just order your regular size!" blurb.)
This butt makes quite a few appearances, too. [link]
Also a thing of wonder, I submit.
I think Griffith would be a fun Sunday outing, perhaps after we all gather for brunch. There are some awesome brunch places near the hotel if we don’t want to eat in their restaurant. Creme de la Crepe is yummy:

I also adore Pop Champagne and Dessert Bar, and they have a nifty brunch menu as well (though they’re more expensive):

They are both .6 of a mile away from the hotel, so we could walk or carpool to either. Plenty of closer good spots as well...
I...um...may have added an entire page devoted to eating out near the hotel: [link]
A woman after my own heart!
Champagne and dessert bar? I like this idea!!
Everything looks so fantastic! And I would very much be up for either of those movie viewings.
Shoot. I think we may end up in a different room for Prom. Not as pretty and no outside patio...but, on the upside, much more private and no restaurant diners to annoy with music and dancing. Updates to follow.
It occurs to me that perhaps the prom host hotel should give us a break on the price - after all, the Buffistas are providing their other guests all kinds of entertainment ....
Oh dear. I hope we don't end up with a boiler room prom like in San Francisco.
