I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

The status is NOT quo.

Zen, hotels.com has a couple of rooms for $119 right now for the 29th-1st, but I don't know how long those will be available.

How much do you still need to raise?

Between PayPal and checks right now (received and en route) we have raised just over a thousand dollars. The hospitality suite costs $434 with tax for the two nights, and the Prom is $700. We need about $150 more to finish paying for the food/drinks at the Prom and to tip the bartender. Anything we raise above that will go towards offsetting the cost of the BBQ at our place Friday night and/or stocking the HS with snacks. One generous Buffista has volunteered to underwrite anything that remains, but since this person has already donated, I wanted to bring it here first.

Zen, I have a reservation that I haven't canceled. I can hold it until Thursday at six.

"too much belly fat" to "actual pregnant woman."

brenda, have you tried Spanx at all? They do a great job of putting things back in place. I don't think I'll need one for my dress. I've been losing weight at a pretty good clip (28 pounds since mid-January) and I bought my dress about 5 pounds ago. In fact, I think I'm going to go try it on again; it may need some taking in.

Pix, that Prom space looks awesome! I can not wait.

Yeah, I realized yesterday that crap, now I have to figure out what I'm going to WEAR! Sigh--none of my nice fun clothes really fit right now. Even though I've lost 15 pounds from where I was in January.

I can finally fit back into the dress I wore to the last three F2Fs that I attended (2007, 2008, 2009), but after wearing it three years in a row I wanted something new. JC Penney to the rescue, for I am a cheap date.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. My prom dress in Seattle was one I brought to F2F San Fran two (three?) years earlier but couldn't quite squeeze into.

Now I want to put together a year-by-year gallery of prom wear.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Vortex, I don't know if I'll actually know by then, but thanks! This may be literally a last-minute decision. My employer owes me approx. $1300 bonus that they neglected to process the paperwork for, and I haven't gotten reimbursed yet for my business trip in April, and I don't know when I'm going to get it. So.
