I'm still going to try to work it out, but I just rented the condo after 6 months, so my savings are nil.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Oh sad! Of course we will understand, Vortex, but sad. We will have to make a Vortex avatar if you can't make it.
Atlanta is between Connecticut and Floria. IJS.
Okay, all, I need a head count and a sense of if we can raise enough money so I can make a final call about whether or not to reserve a small ballroom for Prom. Remember that the low rates disappear TOMORROW at 5, so this is your last chance to get a room at that rate.
Here’s who I have attending (though not all have booked a room) according to the thread:
ND and Pix
Matt TBF
Laura and DH
P-C
Erin Obscure
Omnis
Sean
Dcp (your hotel question is in the works, btw)
Brenda
Meara
Jilli and Pete
Zenkitty
SailAweigh
Javachik
Burrell
Vortex?
Other local LAistas coming to Prom, even if not booking a room? Other Buffistas who haven’t yet spoken up?
Also, at this point we have only raised $145 of the at least $500 (without a room for Prom, just a HS and some snacks). I’m getting nervous, all. If we get a Prom room, we’re looking at closer to $1000.
Where do we send F2F donations?
Yesterday I was pretty sure I wouldn't make it but today I'm back to maybe. I'll decide by Wednesday.
Sorry--deadline is actually tomorrow, not Wednesday.
Roger on deadline.
I'm paying bills tonight so it's a good time to send a donation if you could remind me where to send it.
PayPal ND: drew@drewdalzell.com or send us a check (email for address). Thanks!
Expect an email, Pix.
So what do you guys think about Prom? I know it’s a lot easier and more convenient to have it at the hotel in terms of transportation and such, but ND and I can’t afford to donate more a couple hundred at the most on top of donating the sound system and setup, and I’m really worried about booking it and then not having the funds to pay for it. We could have Prom at our house for free (minus the cost of food and drinks), or we can meet the minimum hotel fee to get a small room. I’m actually going to drop by the hotel today to get a firm number--I’ve been holding off because of the uncertainty with attendees.
At the bare minimum, I’ve already put two nights of a hospitality suite on my credit card, which will be about $435 with tax. The Prom room will be on top of that.
