Captain was looking for a pilot. I found a husband. Seemed to work out.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Pasadena is so close, how could I not come? Plus, a friend of mine in Pasadena just had a baby. I haven't cleared it yet, but I'm planning on coming and I would love a roomie.

Yeah, don't worry about room smoking. At least, not cigarettes...

No, I have no idea what I could possibly mean by that.

You're smoking hot? You're smoking meat? You're smoking pot?

The status is NOT quo.

This is so exciting! As soon as the contract is signed I'll have a link for reservations. I think the block rates now are Friday and Saturday, but I suspect that if someone wanted to get there early or stay late, they'd extend it.

I don't know if our guest room is spoken for yet--if it isn't, we may also have space. And I'm on vacation! I'm happy to play tourist with anyone who comes early or stay late!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Eee! I'm hoping to be able to make it this year.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I don't think I am. My car is a piece of shit that once a year I take in to the dealership and they say "give me all your money so you can drive this for another year." I did that yesterday and I'm looking at new brake calipers and a new water pump. I'm mentally scrambling for how I'm going to pay for it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

ChiKat's show is 7PM on Friday.

I'm game for Friday night in Aurora!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I had a great time in SF, MY NEW FAVORITE CITY. I can report that I managed to design a vacation suitable for an 82-year-old with limited mobility and my mom had a wonderful time. It was a very healing trip for her, which was the whole point. Now that I have seem so much of the place from bus windows, I can't wait to go back just for me, so I can actually hang out and see some louche sights with SFistas.

You crack the whip and I'll make the trip.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

The word "louche" is new to me, and I'm a bit offended by the iPad definition of it. As an example, it says "The louche world of the theater". As if theater is only disreputable or sordid! Hrmph.
