Question: it sounds lovely, but would it be for the F2F or a separate venture?
Sorry, haven't been here since I posted about Asilomar.
I was suggesting it for the F2F, but then again, I don't really think the urban set would go for it.
There is Internet everywhere. I was on it in my room, which was at the upper end of the complex, in a building called Treetop. There's also a new boardwalk through the grounds; it's lovely.
It's 1 AM and I'm headed to bed. I'll find out some deets about a small "conference" and post it later.
The results are in! We have unanimously voted for Pasadena, and of the 38 people who voted, 22 say they are likely or very likely to attend (not counting significant others). We will have a run off vote between two weekends in June (June 16-17 or 23-24) once I get prices from the hotel. Woot! F2F 2012!
I hope to be able to come - for what it's worth, the earlier weekend would be better for me.
I have to check my calendar -- 1 of those weekends will be my working Saturday
I could do dinner (probably) Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, though I will need to double-check my schedule.
Crap, Dana, I totally missed this. Next time, perhaps!
So I know the next East Coast F2F is more than a year away, but I'd just like to point out that this hotel offers complimentary iPads and hammocks. And it's near Scola!
DC area folks, I will be working in your fine city the 13th thru the 25th of this month. I know I'll be free Monday the 23rd, and I could probably do a brunch type thing on the 22nd if anyone is interested. And there is an invited dress rehearsal of my show the evening of the 19th.
but I'd just like to point out that this hotel offers complimentary iPads and hammocks.
Bookmarked- I am amassing info for my 40th bday extravaganza in the fall and this sounds like a great place to stay, and it looks more reasonable than Manhattan hotels.
!!!!
Right up the street is The Chip Shop, and The Ale House.
