Another vote for the cafeteria at the American Indian museum--really yummy!!
Next time I go to DC, I'll definitely be looking into doing more touristy type things. The last two times I've gone, I was restricted on time (we couldn't get to the American History museum at all the last time, damnit!).
ETA: Oh, and I got a really excellent photo of the Capitol building from the front of the American Indian museum, like, it's almost framable it's that good.
NYC F2F-istas - ironically I may be running late. Because the universe has a sense of humor (appropriate for Towel Day) and so instead of working in the office where I can see the Algonquin from my desk, I'm working in the office that's clear on the other side of town.
It was on your rec that I voted for the American Indian museum, Hil!
FredPete - Lunch would be totes awesome!!!
Keep me posted on lunch, I'd love to join you!
FOR CERTAIN!!
Em is very very excited about the trip! She's so big compared to the last time a lot of you saw her!
Headed to the Algonquin now. I'm about a half hour away.
Aims,
Alas, Gary and I will be out of town that whole time.(Worldcon is towards the end of that time, and we're planning to go to San Francisco the week before.) I'm just having bad timing with visiting Buffistas, it seems.
Well pooh!! I haven't seen you since Em was just a bean in my tummy!!!
Woohoo! Just booked tickets to New Orleans Labor Day weekend for Decadence....but definitely want to hang out and do food with people (Nora, I am looking RIGHT AT YOU and your blog that makes me drool)
I had a fantabulous time hanging out with everyone at the Algonquin last week! I also got to see Mr. Scola for a bitchin' walk around Brooklyn yesterday. Despite the fact that it was ONE ZILLION DEGREES outside, we had a great time. He is an excellent tour guide and a fun companion and I don't think anyone should visit Brooklyn without his company!
