I'm going through LTH Forum's Great Neighborhood Restaurants for places near to your hotel, and if you want Cuban, we can try Habana Libre in West Town (1440 W. Chicago Ave.).

That's a huge list, Kathy! But as you've singled out Habana Libre, I'm game for that! The pollo frito appears to be very well regarded.

It's street parking only and is BYOB, so if anyone wants booze, bring it! I just called there, and they close at 9:30 on Thursdays. They do take reservations, so that's a bonus.
