F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Is there a chance of cancelling the F2F in Denver? I'm wondering because I was one of the three rooms.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm planning on coming, I just haven't made reservations yet. Been busy.

Our wings are not tired.

(I was not an original poll-ee so I shouldn't be affecting previously assumed numbers)

I wasn't in the original poll either. I was just wondering since the latest postings seemed to be all reports of not attending rather than anyone attending.

I said no on the poll to the weekend that was chosen. Indent yet know my work situation (won't for a couple weeks) and whether there'd be a chance.

I really wish we were attending and we'd been planning to go until we got our tax bill, which is huge, like buy a small car or pay the tax bill huge.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Looks like we are still under 10 folks including locals. I don't want to discourage those that are planning on coming, but we may want to restructure the weekend to reduce the group costs.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I'm planning on attending, haven't made reservations yet. Not sure if I'm flying or driving, or trying for four days instead of two. It all depends on what my Dad decides to do for his summer travel plans -- I need to be in KC when he comes through.

I'm getting the pig!

Great pictures, ChiKat! And so much pretty!

I'm sorry so many people are dealing with crappy money issues. Trust me, if I didn't already live in Denver, I wouldn't have the money to attend, so I completely understand. It still sucks, though. (I was so hoping to give ND a big hug for the first time since his long hospital stays and I guess now I'll need to mail Pix the cute little English Chair award I was making. Pout.)

Suzi, I'll try to take a look at the contract tomorrow. At this point, I would suggest downsizing quite a bit but I don't know what the room rates were based on. If we cancel the prom room and the catering and the bartender, will the room rates go up?

I don't *want* to cancel all those things but a group of 10 can't afford the original plan. If we keep the large hospitality suite, maybe we can bring in our own food and alcohol and go as nuts as we want. Or maybe we do a private room fancy dinner somewhere. Or... my place isn't huge but I do have a decent sized space with a cute backyard and a grill. We could do hookers and blow!! HOT MEAT AND COCKTAILS!!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm still a maybe. I need to figure out a bunch of other stuff first.
