So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm free on Friday, for sure.

If you're earlyish, like by 6, I'd suggest trying the bar at Girl and Goat. If later, there are lots of options.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Kathy, I don't have to be at the airport until late morning on Saturday, so I have a feeling that things may go a bit later than you'd like. But before I assume so, what qualifies as too late? FYI, I'm staying at the Hilton Northbrook on Milwaukee.

brenda, there's no way I'll be able to get downtown by 6ish. I probably won't be done in the office until 5:30. aurelia, just let us know. Profile addy goes to the blackberry, and I can send everyone my cell number if wanted.

Suzi, I'm so sorry I missed you and CJ in DC. I had already committed to a work event by the time I checked the thread. Just one more reason to get back to Denver....

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks for answering my questions! Yeah, I was thinking if prom shut down at 10, we'd need some place fun to go. But since it's now shutting down at midnight, hospitality suite should be fine.

I won't know if I can go until last minute, sadly. But I hope to. I've got a lot of unforseen expenses right now (need to see how much is going to be left for me to pay of my surgeries) and I also have no idea how my rehab will go. My colleague who had the same surgery said her shoulder was at about 60% use after two months. I also don't know what my P/T schedule will be.

But it sounds like everything that is being planned would be very enjoyable, so I am hoping to join you.

Chicago-istas, I would love to have dinner/drinks and whatever else we can come up with on Friday night.

I'm in for Friday! Provided I don't come down with yet another terrible virus. After 6 is better for me anyway. It'll give me time to hit the gym.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Any interest in hitting Goose Island before Budweiser takes over?

Actually, I really don't have a lot to do on Friday night, so I can stay out later. I don't have to be at O'Hare until 9:00 in the morning (I'm flying to my mom's in NJ), and I can throw stuff into the suitcase after I get back on Friday night and sleep on the plane if need be.

That could work, aurelia.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I can be in for Friday!

Yay!

So where do we meet?

Kathy, just let me know if you want to ride in together.
