I'm fine with 20 minutes from downtown; we'll be blabbing anyway, right?

Do you know how far it would be from the airport, and if the hotels offers a shuttle? Or does the lightrail run from the airport?

What's transpo like if we wanted to do something, er, mountain-y? But that question would pop up no matter where we stayed, I suppose. We can just look at mountains, right?

Ooh, is there a pool/hot tub?

Oh, also re: can you refresh my memory what dates we were talking about? I can't do the first weekend in June, but I'm fine with other weekends right now.

Good questions Erin. The weekend in question (since i had to pick one for the rfp) is June 24 - June 26th.

Anyone not renting a car would need to take an airport shuttle or get a ride from me or Nicole from the airport to the hotel. Someday the light rail is supposed to go out there, but not this year.

Going to the mountains would require a car for the most part. Or there may be some tours originating from downtown that would just be a light rail ride away (light rail is very mobility accessible).

I'll look into the pool/hot tub. I would assume yes, but will double check.

Also, this hotel has a great BBQ place right next door. A couple of blocks away is a liquor store, bagel place, Qdoba (never eaten there - fast Mexican, sometimes compared to Chipotle), and a nail salon.

I spent my first night as a Colorado resident at this hotel since we flew in a day before my rental agreement started. Oh, oh...I could invite y'all over to my place for something.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sounds fine by me, Suzi.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

free happy hour

Sounds good to me!

Will see what I get back from them for the weekend of the 25th and/or 18th. Nicole and I are going to go and look at the hotel together on Sunday. While I have stayed there before, I wasn't looking at it through buffista goggles.

The status is NOT quo.

Looks good, Suzi! Thanks for doing this.

Yes, thanks!

I was thinking of y'all in the shower...

Dirty, dirty thoughts....

Actually, I was thinking, should we post in Beep about dates, try to get a tentative head count of who's about 80% sure they will come? I know we did it a while ago, but things change, and the dates, and now we know the city...

My memory sucks; tell me if I'm being all control-freaky bitca.

I am about 80% sure I'm coming right now, and it all hinges on taxes and summer camp payments, really. (And I cannot frickin' BELIEVE summer camp payment impinges on my life. BIZ-arre!)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My sister says we're going to St. John in May, I'm going to Leverage ConCon in early June, and F2F in late June. I'm gonna need a boatload of money this summer. Time to stop stress-shopping.

I'll cross my fingers the 18th works well, because I am not missing Pride two years in a row (last year I was in a wedding)

I'm getting the pig!

Depending on the dates we go with, I can most likely take Friday and Monday off to get folks to and from the airport. If people want to do a drive to the mountains, that can be arranged, too. Plus everything else Suzi mentioned.

I hate that I haven't been around here a whole lot. I still read Natter & Bitches but it's usually in 200 or 300 post chunks in between flights or during boring meetings. (In November I was promoted to work with the Puerto Rico market, which I love, but it has required quite a bit of travel for various looooong meetings. Meetings in places like Milwaukee and Albany - not Puerto Rico, which is total BS!)

I've been told that things should begin to calm down now for a while, so, fingers crossed, I'll have more time to help scout locations and make arrangements and maybe even post once in a while.

Erin, I think a poll is a good idea. Does anyone have opinions or thoughts on other possible dates or should we just poll on the June 17th & 23rd dates to see how many are likely to attend each?
