I would like to point out that I had dinner with Nora and Tom, and you didn't.
Yes, well, I had Liese and Dave.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Yes, well, I had Liese and Dave.
Recently I had ALL HOLTS.
Y'all should be jealous for some time to come, really.
So sad I missed you, Liese.
I was actually in the western 'burbs today. (Back in DeKalb tonight.)
Next time, sumi! And maybe next time I'll make it a planned trip instead of a mistake. It's not that far from Indy! And actually I'll be in Springfield IL all summer.
Dude! I totally didn't see any of these messages until today. I wouldn't have been able to make because I already had plans, but still!
SFistas! I can't believe we are going to be there in just a few days and I'm so very excited! I'm also clueless about where to go for brunch, so suggestions are requested (all I can think of is the Stinking Rose which is A: way out of the way, I think, and B: not the best place to eat before hopping a 13 hour flight with a 6yo.) David's suggestion for using BART is perfect, so if you can toss out some places downtown on the airport line, we can get there!
Trudy! I just now realized you left me a VM like three weeks ago! You totally could have stayed with me, except I wasn't home; I was in Tennessee. I wasn't ignoring you; I was just, you know, ignoring my phone.
Sox, you can take BART directly from the Airport to the Ferry Building. It's the Embarcadero stop. Which will have a nice, busy Farmer's Market on Sunday plus a view of the Bay. And multiple eating choices there. Plus it's convenient for other people to get there by BART or Muni.
That would be my rec. From there you guys could walk or take the train up to Pier 37 if you were inclined (they do have a nice carousel there), or you could walk up to North Beach (bit of a hike but doable). Or you could take Muni out to the neighborhoods.
I don't know how I missed this from JZ, but I did. The farmer's market sounds great, but I completely agree with the awesomecakes listed below. So, seriously, we can take a cab anywhere, or BART, but I have no way of knowing what's most convenient for everyone. PC, Perkins, Nanita, -t?
So far we have as possibilities:
- Mission: Ti Couz - south SFO brunch places (to be named by persons who are not me) - Farmers' Market on BART line
Should we start talking about times while we figure out places? Do people have services Sunday am? HKF is an early riser no matter where we are (just ask Raq..., eeep), so we're flexible.
Seekrit note to Matilda from HKF: Can't wait to meet you!
There are also some nice brunch places not far south of SFO -- not that I can remember the names of any of them, but Perkins has taken Matilda and me to several and they were both nice and seemed like they'd be accommodating of largeish groups.
(Just trying to expand the options to stuff that might be easier for Perkins; I know she's only a maybe, but if she *could* make it that'd be awesomecakes.)
If in SF, I'd vote for Ti Couz, yummy real French crepes just one block from the 16th and Mission BART station (with the Pork Store Cafe just two doors up in case Ti Couz looks too crowded).
I always prefer BARTable locations, and I like Ti Couz and love the Mission. If there's time, we could even do some of the Mission Tour! I'm free all of Sunday, so I have no time preferences.
