SFistas - if everything goes according to plan, the Sox family will be in your area on Dec. 5 for a 20-hour layover. We won't have a car, but should be able to taxi from SFO to meet up. Anyone interested in meeting up for brunch?

ok, soooo we don't know the bay area extremely well, nor how far things are from SFO. My major concern is heading back to the airport with plenty of time to go through all the international stuff and make our flight, which is at 6pm, I think? So brunch? Lunch? Where's good for people and do-able by cab from SFO?

Sox, it's very easy to BART into the City and back to the Airport. You could very easily go to the Mission or downtown by the Ferry Building and get back with minimal effort.
BART to the Mission is about 20 minutes. Probably a half hour to the Ferry Building.
Both have lots of food options.
