While the crowds were huge and there was a severe lack of yellow-line trains, the crowds were remarkably well-behaved and cooperative. We rallied well, and enthusiastically, but sanely.
I will be referring to it as the Stewart-Colbert DC Stimulus, though. Union Station (and everywhere else within [even remotely] walking distance of the mall) was packed after.
Hello kitties! Are we still debating what part of the US constitutes the middle?
I believe we had a volunteer to pimp Minneapolis and another for Albuquerque. Who am I missing?
Do we decide on a location first and then talk dates?
I am planning to pimp St. Louis once I do a bit more research into the public transportation options and likely hotel venues.

Excellent.
Are we OK with splitting the country into East, West & Flyover? That would make Colorado and New Mexico both "middle."
Did I forget Denver? I feel like someone was planning to pimp Denver.
& also Texas.
If we can stop with the Flyover, that wouldn't suck.
What's wrong with East, West and Central that we've always used?
There was some talk of separating the country into time zones and some discussion about whether NM is more West than Middle. My feeling is that if someone is willing to pimp a city and someone is willing to be our local representative then I'm fine with a loose definition of what "Middle" is.
That's what we've always done. It seems to have worked fine for the last decade.
