Wow. I hadn't seem anybody mention this yet, but they are doing WaterFire in Providence this Saturday: [link]
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Oh, I have always wanted to see WaterFire!
Oh, I have always wanted to see WaterFire!
I went once like over a decade ago, and it was fascinating. I've been meaning to check the schedule, because I was hoping they'd be doing it the same weekend. It seems a very Buffista thing to check out.
I'm also not going to be dressed super Prom-y this year since I didn't bring any fun outfits. I'll just be in a simple dress, most likely.
But I would love to see WaterFire regardless. What time does it run, and when/where are we meeting for Prom?
According to the web site, WaterFire starts at sunset (in the 8:30 range) and goes until midnight (I think).
I can't remember the exact details of the prom. sj has linked to the resturaunt a few times upthread, but the web site keeps killing my browser, so I haven't given it a heavy-duty lookover.
On the road, so quick question. sj, do you want contributions for the provisions?
Speaking for sj, if we could chip in on some stuff that would be great -- both provisions and the suite its self.
Waterfire looks amaaaaaaaaazing.
What time is our reservation at Paragon? Are they closeish? Ooooh this looks fun!
People should use their money to help out Trudy with the suite. TCG and I are going to take care of the goodies we're providing for the suite. If local people want to bring anything for the suite, that would be great too.
This is the link for Paragon restaurant for prom. I need to call them tomorrow and confirm how many we are, and I think the time was for 7. I'll confirm that tomorrow as well. Waterplace Park (where Waterfire is held) is about a mile and a half away according to mapquest.

WaterFire does go up along the canal quite a ways - it's not an isolated thing by any means.
PS - needless to say, count me in for Paragon.
