I kinda wish I were spending the week near Traverse City. I'd be able to catch the end of the Cherry Festival, too. But, sadly, that's too far from my family stuff.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
If you get into downtown Detroit, make sure to go to the Avalon bakery at Cass and Willis. They're fabulous!
I'm Ann Arbor-ish and more than willing to host A Thing at my place for an evening!
Aims, Woohoo!
Calli, It's a bit of a haul, unless you're used to travel time on a midwestern scale (and, sometimes, even then). But I've done it a few times and would gladly do so again.

Zen! VW! I shall email you shortly!
That would be lovely, Aims—thanks! Just let me know what evening's good for you, Debit, et al. Or, meeting up somewhere in town, too. Whatever's most convenient.
Calli - if you wanted to have the car owner (I forget whose car you said) down on the 16th (Friday) and hang out with us that day and evening, and then cop a spot on the sofa over night, we would be more than happy to take you to the airport on the 17th. We live in Ypsilanti so getting to Metro is like, 20 minutes. 25 if there's "traffic".
Oh, Aims, that is tremendously thoughtful! My flight doesn't leave until mid-afternoon, though, so I'm going to try and squeeze in one last sunrise over the lake. I'm renting from Enterprise, so I'll just be dropping the car off on the way to the airport.
But if Friday evening is the best time to get together, just let me know. I'll be happy to block that time for Buffista-ing.

Thanks, aurelia. I'll try to check it out.
