sj, while it probably wouldn't work for Saturday, do you think there might be time to get a group together for Al Forno? Maybe Friday?

I don't think they take reservations, but if people would give me a show of hands of whether or not they are interested, I can ask if they will make an exception for a small group.

Possible Prom options:

I have called the Hampton in to see what they might have available, and I am waiting for the event coordinator to call me back.

Dave and Buster's located at the Providence Place Mall can rent us a semi-private area where the pool tables are for $30 per hour. The upside of this is that we would definitely not have to deal with noise complaints.

I have also called Joe's American Bar and Grill and The Melting Pot, which are also located at the mall. Both are having the managers get back to me. Joe's has a small event room that can hold 24 people, do you think we will need more than that?

OK I have booked this restaurant just to reserve a private room for 20 people. We can order off the menu that night without having to order food ahead of time and there is no rental fee. I can cancel it if people don't want to do it there, but it is a good restaurant that I have been to many times before. Thoughts? Questions?

Frank, Alforno's link takes reservations for parties of 6 or more. Dave and I are in for Friday night if you want to go. So if we could get 3 more people interested, I would be happy to make the reservations. Without reservations we are probably looking at an all night wait.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Pool tables? Hmm.

sj, Paragon sounds great to me (except their web site keeps trying to kill my browser), and I'd love to do dinner on Friday at Al Forno. Hopefully we can get 3 other people along for the ride.

Paragon also has the option of ordering food ahead of time, if we want to do it that way. I think they would likely be the most accomodating in terms of everyone's dietary restrictions.

Our wings are not tired.

Restaurant options all look good. I am sure DH and I would be up for Al Forno too.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Count me in for Al Forno on Friday.
