The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I'll take one of those rooms, Trudy. I'm planning on Friday and Saturday nights, returning on Sunday.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Thanks, DCP!

Laura, sj, DCP, we'll coordinate me cancelling the reservation and you guys booking them on-line via email. I'll drop you all notes tomorrow.

I suggest everyone else book on-line asap (there seems to be a room or two left). Or talk to a booker to see if you can stay with them/get their room.

This is going to be such fun!!!

Speaking of POSSIBLE F2F's, there's a chance that I might be able to make it to NYC sometime in late July/early August. One of us will have to fly the kiddo back to Philly, and I'm wondering how long a train ride it would be from Philly to NYC, and if maybe I could cop a squat with someone for an evening or two and see NYC peeps, and fly back to KC from NYC.

Thoughts?

Because books.

Erin, the train from Philly to NYC is easy and quick. An hour and a half, about. Amtrak, baby!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Profile address is good.

Excellent...I think that might be doable. We'll have to pony up to get the kiddo back home, so I might as well make a little minivaca out of it.

Tom, I'll e you when I hear back from stepson's mom about when we'll need to have him back, and I know a date. Fun!

Who else is in NYC besides Tom and Trudy? msbelle, I know, but I dunno if she'll still be in NYC at that point.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This is a ways off, but it sounds like I might be in NY over New Years.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm probably going to be in the NYC area in late July or early August, but I'm not sure of the exact dates yet.

I haven't been anywhere in a while; I'm excited! Last time I was in NYC, I was there for a conference, and the hotel room was in Newark. I stayed in town with Trudy one night, and we went out and I got TORE up.

I was absolutely stank with tequila and miserable the next day at the conference. I actually curled up in an empty seminar room and napped for an hour, on the floor, like a wee drunken sloth that smelled like smoke and booze.

But, goodness, I had fun!

ETA: Of course now I am a RESPECTABLE MARRIED LADY and would never do anything like that. Oh, noes.
