Ooh, we had that in Madison. Fun! (Once the old ladies in line behind you help you figure out what to do.)
ETA: Not that fun.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Pros with Hotel Nexus, BTW, include closer proximity to the localistas (except meara) and proximity to a bus hub if you want to head downtown.
Looks like the Mariners are playing Diamondbacks that weekend. I know some folks are Baseball fans. Just an idea.
(yes, I am trying to convince myself to go. I think I might be able to get the time off! I think the biggest hurdle will be finances.)
I would be totally down for going to a baseball game, especially one where I can root against the dreaded Snakes!
Still getting proposals from hotels, but the frontrunner right now is Hotel Nexus. They're a little far away from the center of Seattle, but there's still a lot to do there and they have a complimentary scheduled shuttle to other points of interest. Room are $119/night, and include free parking, free wifi, and complimentary breakfast.Um. I plopped in AAA discount, and for a Business Class Single King, came up with a rate of $116.10/night for our three nights. Not sure if the $119 was for doubles or something else. But, I thought I'd mention it if it helps with the negotiating.
ETA: if you select 21 day advance, the rate drops to $103.20!

The $119 is for doubles and singles - they flattened the rate between them, and are also giving us a discount on the ballroom. But I can mention it to them.
Ooo, that sounds excellent.
Baseball always more fun with Buffistas. What isn't more fun with Buffistas?
Laura - will Brendan be joining you this year?
Well, if I tell him you will be there he will be persuaded.
We really missed going last year, particularly since it was the first one we had missed. He likes Seattle. I'm going to try and make it happen. It would likely involve combining family vacation with F2F vacation and staying a bit longer. The nice thing about the boys being teens now is that they can entertain themselves while we do our thing.
