You really did, java. Above and beyond. Thank you so much.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I've not joined in because I don't know if I can financially swing it and there are a few (okay, several) balls up in the air about my schedule for this summer. Since I don't know if I'll be able to go due to either schedule or money or both, then I can sit back and see how things shake out.
Although I would love to go, especially NYC or Philly. Due to new job, I won't have vacation time until November or so.
I am highly interested and have been doing the polls but have no useful input in this thread aside from wheeeee! i lucked out with awesome vacation time this year and will likely be on the east coast visiting with the fam during most of the potential weekends, so it'll just be a matter of slipping away from VA.
Quick update: Le Meridien Philadelphia has no accessible rooms (it's in an old Georgian building with no lifts) so I've cancelled that bid.
Thank you, but stop working, Java! Go play!

Poll will be open for three days until 3/21, Sunday.
I'm definitely interested, and hopeful I can swing time off this year since work exploded right at the time I was signed up for vacation last year and I ended up losing leave time at year's end. (Father's Day weekend was my only absolute no-can-do date; Dad's 74 and has already outlived all the men of his family for generations back, so there's no way I'm skipping out on one of these holidays.) Money will be the determining factor for me.
I've been following along and I want to go - and should actually be able to (finances permitting). I just haven't had anything to say.
A quick note from a former colleague who lives in Philly:
Warwick, Le Meridien, and Crown Plaza are all centered right in the middle of center city. The Best Western is 8 blocks from my house and is in a more residential part of the city (though across the street from the Rodin Museum and down the block from the Art Museum).
Yeah, I think there are a couple of Crown Plazas - the one who sent us a quote is over near Fairmount Park. I think it has a free shuttle into Center City anyway.
I love to walk right out my door and be "in the city", but Madison wasn't like that and I still had fun. The Crown Plaza is the cheapest, most inclusive option so far. But I would be okay with any of the places, and I am choosy about my hotels.
