I'm imagining Buffistas taking over Waterbury/Montpelier, and it's making me laugh and laugh and laugh.
You know, I very nearly suggested Montpelier, totally forgetting about your brother's place. Now I really want it on the list.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Montpelier is awesome, and there's lots of little funky things to do, and it's all Lebowskis and hippie chicks all the time.
in my brother's restaurant! (It IS a kickass place to eat and consume much beer, but it's probably not big enough to fit all the Buffistas who attend an F2F.)
picnic tables outside. We'll be fine.

Dude, that would even tempt me to go out there!
I adore Vermont, and Vermont in the summer is gaw-jus. I would be so tempted to find a way to get out if there were any possibility.
Um, but how do we get to Vermont? Especially for cheap, or quickly, for those who are further away or only have time to take one day off?

Fly somewhere larger and pool resources for a rental car?
Burlington has a great airport - jet Blue goes there - and seriously nice people there

This is sort of the problem with Vermont. And why it has taken me 2 years to see the place my sister built (the closest airport being Montreal).
Right, we talked about that a few hundred posts ago. The problem with the more remote locales is that people who can only take a Friday or Monday (or no day at all) off of work end up spending hours on a plane followed by hours in a car. (And I say this as someone who has one of the more flexible schedules on the board.)
