I think Laura and Brendan are at the Hol Inn in Pasadena.
Also, on the reception website, I just cracked up with Kristin's description of the neighborhood around the Beverly Garland hotel as "nothing special". It's about two blocks from where Joe and I lived. Which makes total sense since that neighborhood SUCKED after we took our awesomeness from it.
2 things I know LA does better than NYC - Mexican food and sushi. So I want to eat at least one of those while I'm there, if not both.
And honestly, Pasadena is about 15 minutes from the Safari. Really not far.
I don't even know where to start with Mexican food recs! Poquito Mas is right near the Safari and yum yum yum.
I forgot all about Poquito Mos!!
There's a friggin' LUSH on CitiWalk now???
I will go wherever the buffistas are on whatever time and day. And if I don't manage to squeeze it into my day tomorrow like planned, may want to join the Saturday morning pedicure plan, if it's after 930 when my fligh gets in!
I have to be at my hair appt at 1, so I was planning to do mani/pedi around 11. It's this tiny little hole-in-the-wall of a nail place, and I can't say they do the best job evah or anything, but the price is right (around $20 for a spa mani/pedi combo). The woman who does waxing has done a great job on my eyebrows every time I've gone, too.
Coffee:
Aims, I can pick you up at the Sheraton. Shouldn't be a problem. Chez Nous is great for breakfast/brunch, but might be crowded. Should be okay, though. Maybe we could plan to meet around 9:30am that morning? Or is that too early? I'll bow out and do breakfast on my own if so and meet up with mani/pedi people later. Probably easiest to meet at our house and then just walk over to the nail place at 11. It's two blocks away.
