Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

not your mom's socks.

Philly - yes the Heart is still here. The Mutter museum is insane and victiorian and yeccch and I'll go anytime. The art museum has an annex devoted to fashion and I'll see what the big (main collection) exhibition is for various weeks. Google Reading Terminal Market. There's also a couple of historical things here. Just a few. If you are coming to Philly this year and are interested in Impressionism or African art, you may want to to see if you can visit the Barnes collection out in Marion before they move it. There's a gorgeous park along the river. And the oldest zooin the country, where some of EB Whites Trumpetr of The Swan was set.

There is South Street and the reading terminal market.

That said, I can't coordinate - I can kibbutz or someting but my head will explode and I will let everyone down if I add one more thing to my list right now. Taking on too much is my Thing so me saying this is a big deal.

And if the f2f is in Philly or Baltimore June 19th I can't go. :(. Don't let that stop you if that's the best option.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Isn't there an Edgar Allen Poe House in Philly, too?

ETA: That's a disingenuous question as I know darn well there is, having been there, once upon a time. [link] Should the F2F end up here, I highly recommend a group tour.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

How many houses did he have?! There's one in Richmond, VA, I know.

I think there's one in Baltimore, and there may be one in NYC, too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

LAistas, I'm going to need packing advice for the wedding trip. I'm seeing high 60's forecast for that week - how much colder does it get at night?

(Also need to find party clothes that will fit my belly!)

Jess, I have this dress: [link] in an XL, I think, if you would like me to bring it.

Sad that we won't see the rest of the fam, but thrilled that you will be there.

Well, not this trip, but once Spirit starts up their DTW --> LAX service again (they recently switched it to seasonal only May - Sept), we're hoping that the three of us can come out. Emeline has been asking about California. It will be interesting to take her and see what she remembers, if anything.

Thanks - I'll let you know after I've tried on everything in my closet.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Actually, I have all of my maternity clothes back from my friend, so if you might need anything, let me know. I'm bigger than you, so things are bigger, but let me know what you might need for the weekend and I'm happy to bring it.
