Does the idea of a Jersey Shore F2F appeal to anyone? We could fill up a cheap motel and eat baskets of fried shrimp all weekend!

That would be a blast! My mom and I went to the shore just north of Atlantic City a few years back just for the day (she lives about 45 minutes west of AC) and had a great time. Lots of chintzy shops, great views, and we could totally fill up a cheap hotel for the weekend.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That's not a bad idea at all!

I may see more of Jersey now I've left it than I did living there.

Our wings are not tired.

I'd be down with Jersey shore, too.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Think about it, we could do prom in sequined halters, bedazzled Bermuda shorts and glittery flip-flops. Maybe even those big floppy straw hats with flowers on them.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Transportation would be an issue (ditto for any non-city location), but if we book early enough I bet there are good deals out there.

(Hey Trudy! Help me out here before I have to start talking completely out of my ass!)

I think Nashville is really central, but when the time comes, I can help out, since I'm there a least four times a year to see the family.

Savannah can be very warm and humid in the summer, but it's a great place to visit. Anyone up for a winter mini-F2F?

What's the nearest airport to a Jersey Shore location? Newark? Or is there one closer to AC?

As I recall, Savannah is fucking deadly bring your inhaler and prepare to sweat 24-7 humid in the summer, "summer" being defined as April to September. But yeah, it's a great place, and I'd totally do a winter mini-F2F there.

Philly airport would be about two hours west of AC. I'm sure there are some shuttles that go from that airport to the shore.

There is an Atlantic City airport, but I don't know costs for flying in there vs flying to either NYC or Philly and taking a bus.
